CSI-Case File No 3

For the evidence I have used tags, sheer ribbon, a doily, he gold metallic element is the dimensional pearls I have used on the flourish and the circular elements are the pearls. For the testimony I have used a repetitive journalling on a series of tags.

CSI-Case File No 2

It has been awhile since I have actually added anything to my blog. I have however, done some challenges and am finally adding them here.

For the evidence I have used flowers, a fence for the architectural element, a transparency for the sheer element and a flourish. For the testimony I have gone with the good advice. Why make a resolution that we will never stick to. I really don't see the point. The journalling reads: Evry year someone will ask me 'What's your New Year Resolution?' My answer is always the same, 'I don't have one. If you don't make one, you can't break it'. Who ever really sticks to a New Years Resolution?

CSI - Case File No: 1

Well it has been ages since I last scrapped a page, so naturally nothing to post on my blog. My friend intorduced me to CSI and I thought it would be an opportunity to get motivated and find some inspiration.

Following the colour scheme, the evidence (elements) and the testimony (journalling), we had 'the mad hatter' photo as inspiration and had to document something mad, crazy or silly. I chose to use the photos I had taken on Christmas Eve of my daughter trying on all our silly Xmas hats. We seem to acquire a new one every year.
The elements I used were the bow, repeated stamp in the backgound (stars) and the lacy element (self made around border of circle). I enjoyed doing this layout and it actually motivated me to get a layout finished. Having a deadline sometimes helps...lol.

How Much Is Too Much - Challenge #177

This challenge was based around International Clown week and we were to use the following:

* 8 buttons ... check
* 1 flower ... check ( handmad by using Mother's Day Bouquet Cricut Cartridge)
* 11 different patterned papers .. tried the infamous stipes technique...lol
* one red circle (for the clown's nose) ... check...used it to highlight part of the title.
* Mist or paint .. check...misted the flower and the background paper.

Had fun creating this LO. The expression on Marnie's face when she got her face painted this particular day was awesome...she was so excited to have a swan and a rainbow. Isn't it wonderful that scrapbooking allows us to capture and record such beautiful memories which would normally be forgotten over time.

How Much Is Too Much - Challenge #175

Here in the U.S.A., we're celebrating our Independence Day. In honor of that, I'd like you to use
** elements that include STARS (embellishments, patterned paper, etc.) and STRIPES (ribbon, patterned paper, etc.)
** a flag or banner accent
** and to play off the date we're celebrating, July 4, 1776, use:


•7 - brads ... check
•4 - four-word title ... check (with a little help from Tracee)
•1 - photo
•7 - labels
•7 - seven-sentence journaling ...Hidden behind the photo on the tag.
•6 - patterned papers .. check

I know I missed the deadline for this one, but better late than never. Two sick kids and being sick myself did not help. Will try to be more organised this month. Well, that is the plan..lol.

White With 1 - July Challenge

WHITE + AQUA/TEAL + CHIPBOARD

**Your chipboard pieces can be raw, covered with paper, paint glimmermist etc...

This is one of my favourite colours and loved doing this challenge. I painted the chipboard frame white then wiped the aqua over the edges. I glimmer misted the chipboard in the title. I used some old tissue paper from a gift I once recieved and mod podged it on the page. My journalling is on the tag behind the frame.

How Much Is Too Much - Challenge #176

Christmas in July refers to Christmas-themed celebrations held in July. It's a fun time and because the weather is so much cooler, we can celebrate with those traditional foods that we cannot have here in summer. Well, we can have them here in Australia but it's generally way too hot that most of us celebrate with BBQ's, prawns and salad. So let's pull out our Christmas paper and embellishment stashes and put them to use.

Requirements:

2 + photos [at least 2]....I have used 9
1 x Christmas tree image, any size....check
5 x patterned papers, i.e., Christmas patterns,...check
5 x metal embellishments, ...check
and any other embellishment in increments of 5...I have used 5 flowers, 5 stamps and 5 chipboards

Well I enjoyed doing this challenge as I got to scrap some of those Christmas photos I have had hidden away for ages as it all seemed too hard to scrap them. I was going to make a mini album or an off the page item, but here they are years later, still not scrapped. So, I decided to use 9 of the photos on the one layout. They are not the most perfect photos, just happy snaps from that Christmas morning. However, they are perfect in allowing me to remeber the excitement that morning.
